Down 27 pounds so far!

I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I was a chubby child and I am chubby as an adult (I think they call it "obese," but I'm sticking with chubby) though there were a few years in high school when I was actually under weight, I have never been able to maintain a healthy weight. I suffered through gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with my daughter, and that experience has made me determined to avoid becoming a diabetic. My husband and I were hoping for another child, but I was diagnosed with PCOS and told that losing weight was my only hope of conceiving again. I started out at 215, and am now down to 187, with the help of a low glycemic diet. And I love it! Not only do I eat delicious food, but I can make meals that are quick and easy on busy days, and then actually get excited to eat them! I even have a bar of dark chocolate that I eat a square of every night. And one square is even enough! I am working on starting an exercise program, which I am hoping will give me even more energy and help shed the next 47 pounds quickly. This type of program is the way to go... I've tried everything else, but this works and improves your health. Given the option, I would now choose low glycemic foods even if I wasn't trying to lose weight. I just feel healthier then before. Has anyone ever felt good after eating an unhealthy meal? I know I don't miss it!
