I want to be at a healthy weight

I have only recently discovered the glycemic index. My mom recently lost a lot of weight on Weight Watchers. I am so proud of her. She got burned out on it and I mentioned that I was going to try eating low glycemic index foods and see if I could start to get my weight under control. My mom jumped right in with me.

We started getting together and cooking large amounts of food and freezing it and coming up with meal plans that suited our lifestyles. My mom is the ultimate supporter and trooper. Without her encouragement and support, I don't think I would have lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks. I had put off getting on the scale because I just didn't want to be disappointed again. She just said "go look". I went in and got on the scales. It was amazing. I hollered "Mom!" and she came in there and said "that sounds like a good yell". When she saw that I had lost weight, it encouraged her, too and added even more energy to our quest for healthy lifestyles.

Mom and I are off to a running start and already seeing results, not only in our weight and health, but also in our relationship.
