My name is Tanya and I am 32 years old. My son, Christian, is 18 months old has just started running everywhere. One day, while chasing him, I was so out of breath that I had to sit down and rest. He wanted to keep playing, trying to get me to chase him some more. The revelation hit me like a ton of bricks that if I didn't do something quickly, I would miss so much with my son. My husband, Dennis, agreed and we immediately starting planning our weight loss and exercise goals. At starting weights, I was 190 pounds and Dennis was 250 pounds. In just over a week, I have shed 7 pounds and Dennis has lost 15 pounds with a low glycemic diet and plenty of exercise. We are ecstatic. Our weight loss is happening quicker than we expected and we have more energy than every before. Best of all, it doesn't feel like we are dieting. We never go hungry and seem to only crave low glycemic snacks like fruit and vegetables. This diet has quickly become a lifestyle change for us. We intend to be around for our son for many more active years.
