Been there, done that, T shirt wont fit
by: Robin

I have tried the plan you describe, and was successful at it. However, it is not sustainable. You can't live that way. And now, a few years later I weigh more than I did then. I am starting this plan and hope it works for me as well as it has for others. The loss may not be as rapid, but this is a plan that can become a lifestyle! Wish me luck!!

I would have to agree, take it as a learned lesson., but don't cheat yourself from becoming healthier and happier. We all spend money foolishly but what you do about it is what will matter in the long run….If the GI diet was really working then go back to it. you did the other diet for six weeks. ask if you can place a freeze on this other plan and come back to it in a few weeks and give yourself at minimum the same amount of time on both, if it was six weeks then do the GI for 6 weeks and then reevaluate.

My story-continued
by: Anonymous

I do drop by your site quite frequently--you have done a great job. I have used some of the recipes when I did the low GI. I had researched all over the internet, but mostly found sites that sell things.

> I really believe I will go back to GI diet. It offers foods high in fiber, which my present plan does not as they feel products like beans are not good. My fasting blood sugar is 87, so I am not a diabetic, but still think low glycemic is good for everyone.

> I was just really getting into it, when I impetuously joined the diet program here. I am losing slowly, but not enjoying the way I have to eat and drink the protein supplements. It is costing me a fortune. First the joining fee and now the must buy 3 boxes of supplements a week. Have no idea where my brain was for the first few days when I could and should have cancelled it.

Cut Your Losses
by: Anonymous

Hi Dot,

We all have made unfortunate decisions when it came to weight loss. I spent my grandmother's inheritance on Jenny Craig years ago and once off the prepackaged foods I started gaining again. We need to learn how to eat correctly. In my humble opinion, if you feel you should be on the GI plan, which is healthier, I would cut my losses and go back to that.

Good luck!

Laura
